Josh Corey of Window Maven Window Cleaning in Marina Del Rey, Ca. shows you how he can get more water out of his brush by adding a few pieces of hose and an extra tee-fitting to create quad pencil jets in his waterfed pole brush. This method helps the rinsing process on hydrophobic glass where you’ll commonly find the water beading off the glass making it harder to rinse. It uses up a little more water but it can shave off some time during your work day.
Standard dual jetted brushes come with a pair of pencil jets and a pair of fan jets. You can take out the fan jets and put in pencil jets or make your brush triple jetted. If your brush is single jetted, you can drill holes into your brush and adapt in a new pair of pencil jets. There are many options, all of them are your personal preference.

Josh Corey of Window Maven Window Cleaning shows you how he uses a 6in gooseneck along with the standard angle adapter to create a way to clean greenhouse windows. You can’t get a good scrub out of just the edge of the brush and have the jets spray the water farther than you need it. With this adjustable angle, he is able to clean the top glasses with ease.
He first removes the original angle adapter and switches it for the 6in gooseneck, then with a bit of plumbers tape, he adds on the standard gooseneck. Extend out the hose and screw back on the brush you can access the most unique angles you need to clean any window!
Josh Corey of Window Maven Window Cleaning speaks about the 3-Star 31ft Carbon Fiber waterfed pole. It features transverse clamps and can reach comfortably, residential 3 storey homes.
Waterfed poles really work their “magic” on french windows. You can easily scrub the glass and the frames then rinse. Making it such an easier task then getting out a ladder and squeegee-ing.
Aqua-dapterTM (patent pending) is a brand new water fed pole on/off flow controller, developed by window cleaners, for window cleaners.
What are the benefits?
Since their introduction to the industry, water fed poles have been a successful and hugely useful tool for cleaning, however window cleaners have always been looking for ways to control the flow of water.
Wasted water costs you money:
buying resin
charges for metered water usage
more important, when water is wasted between windows, the number of jobs you can do each day is greatly reduced.
Apart from being environmentally friendly, saving water allows you to do more jobs, and so earn more money.
There are problems with existing methods of water flow control:
Kinking the hose means keeping one hand on the hose, or leaving the water running while you extend or collapse the pole.
Triggers can be awkward to use and of ten have an irritating loop of hose which twists or snags.
Remote controls need batteries and you have to be within range for them to work.
Holsters attached to your waist mean you are attached to the hose. As well as feeling rather restrictive, you can also get the problem of wet trousers!
Aqua-dapter has been specifically designed to overcome these, and other, problems associated with water flow control!
It is strong, yet light, and manufactured to the highest standards using high-quality materials. We like to think of it, not just as an attachment, but a water fed pole upgrade.
How does it work?
The Aqua-dapterTM Mk2 can be fitted to your pole in less than 5 minutes.
It is fitted to the end screw of your water fed pole, then your existing brush can be screwed on to the aluminum screw thread which is part of the Aqua-dapter.
The hose goes down the inside of your water fed pole, allowing you to switch the water flow on or off by simply pulling on the hose at the bottom of the pole.
The tap can also be turned manually if you are working on ground level windows.
