ISSA Interclean Convention 2012 – Amsterdam, Netherlands

Hello!

We wanted to share with you a little bit of the exciting products we saw and people we ran into at the ISSA Interclean convention in Amsterdam this past week.

Steve and Cameron spent the entire week at the show, meeting with our vendors and learning about all the up-and-coming products and techniques so that we could bring all this information back to our customers.

Take a look at all of the cool things surrounding Unger’s booth:

The traditional tools we have all come to know and love:

A new and exciting item released at the show: Unger Ninja Sleeves and T-Bars!

The sleeves are made up of part monsoon and part microfiber.

J. Racenstein should be seeing them roll into the US and our warehouses mid-June, so call us next month to get yours!

Also, check out these “trickster” window cleaners Unger had showing off the ease-of-use of their Ninja line:

Next, we stopped by the Ettore booth. It was very pristine, white (nice for a cleaning convention!) and well displayed.

Steve and John Becker from Ettore looking happy.

After Ettore we stopped by the IPC booth.  They do a lot of manufacturing aside from window cleaning, therefore their booth was HUGE!

We stopped but the IPC Pulex section and found all of our old friends:

And a new one!   We found a great new product for indoor cleaning:

Fill the jug at the bottom of the pole with pure water, and use the red lever on the side to spray the water onto the glass. The pad at the top of the pole is a replaceable microfiber pad.  A pretty cool, light tool to clean those tough to reach indoor windows easily and efficiently.  Coming soon to the US!

As we were walking through the show with Shawn Gavin, from RHG Products, we ran into our friends from Brodex WaterFed Poles!

And later met with the guys at Ionic:

Their cool booth:

And of course, their awesome new line of Water Purification systems:

Ionic Purification System at ISSA

All of these new and improved systems are in our new catalog.  Ionic has put a lot of work into improving these systems. Call us today to learn about their exciting new features!

Also in their both, a demonstration of their Swift Poles cleaning Solar Panels:

AND, the amazing new 18 Meg Ultra Pure water purification system.  Information about this new, extremely efficient system can be found in our new 2012 catalog (page 127)

And finally… some silly products, people and experiences we found while at the show:

First, we will start with this guy! He gets an A for dressing the part!

Shawn’s pick: an automatic show cover placement machine:

In goes the foot Out comes the foot, with the shoe cover on:

Automatic Shoecover

And lastly, check out these guys using their boat, that holds purified water, to clean yachts!!!!

Hope you enjoyed our recap of some of the cool new things we found at the ISSA convention!

If you ever have a chance to head to Amsterdam, take the opportunity!  It is beautiful!

Steve and Shawn taking in the sights, by moto!

2011 Window Cleaning Network Summer Picnic

Ahhhh the smell of sweet corn the slow roasting of barbecue ribs and the delightful sound of conversation. Yes, these are all the makings of the most popular destination in the window cleaning industry, Oconomowoc, Wisconson.  Home of Annual Window Cleaning Network Picnic. Hosted every year since 1998 by Gary Mauer with the help of his wife.

Time and again window cleaners make their way for the mecca, of the industries largest show and demonstrations of water fed poles and equipment. This year was no different and JRacenstein was there to show there support and display the newest and best in water fed poles and water makers. This year, the release of the Gardiner Extreme the new 48′ pole by Gardiner, that with add on sections can reach a height of 80′ and so light you can practically drink a soda and clean a window at the same time. Also displayed by JRacenstein was the line of Ionic brand poles and the new Brodex line.

Picnic time is just not a time of show and tell but also a time to mingle and catch up on industry events in this laid back atmosphere. On hand to do this was John DePalma, Joey Corley and Anthony DiTusa to make sure JRC got there mingle on. Other vendors as well, were there to add to the flavor and friendly relations enjoyed in the industry. John Siebenaler and Mike Dieltz from IPC Eagle were on hand, along with Josh Cronin to show off the Eagle Hydrotube and Screenwasher. Along with vendors and window cleaners mingling was the sound of cheerful play as many had an opportunity to soak their fellow competitor and vendor in the balloon burst. Which I also happen to be a recipient of. This is just not any ordinary balloon burst but this years money raised, went to Don Chutes favorite charity which a total of  $1000.00 was raised.

A good time was had by all and it was good to see many familiar faces and meet many new ones. As always Kim Little and Major Norwood was there to help kick off the event getting things started with the first annual Don Chute charity golf competition on Friday. That Friday night was the opening reception a pre picnic tradition. In which many get together to have appetizers and wet there whistles. Karaoke completed the night as John DePalma stole the show as he sang to his adoring fans “Lets Get It On” by Marvin Gaye. (We got the pictures to prove it!)

Another picnic down and another already being planned. Next years picnic we hope to see you in the hippest place a window cleaner in summer can be seen Oconomowoc, WI. Water fed capital of the world. (At least in July).

Paul’s Trial of the 30ft 3-Star Hybrid Pole

Paul Shouse of Show Me Cleaning was interested in buying a new pole. He currently has the SLX but was looking at the Brodex Pole. He was worried about the weight since it was an aluminum pole, so we sent him a Hybrid 30ft pole that was at a comparable price. Here’s his review on the pole.
