RE: EZ Pure vs. IPC Eagle HydroTube
EZ Pure has more carbon filter, more RO Membrane, and more DI resin.

All things being equal would it cost less to purify the tap water with your bigger filters? Would the HydroTube filters burn out faster because they are much smaller? Best Regards Mike |

RE: EZ Pure vs. IPC Eagle HydroTube
Paul,
The EZ Pure has 2 twenty inch RO filters and the HydroTube has one 40 so that would be about the same, but the DI and Carbon filters are way bigger on the EZ PURE. Watch the videos. There is one where they show you how to take the filters out of the HydroTube so you get to see how small they are. Does the size of the DI and carbon filters have much impact on the cost of filters and how much pure water you get for your money? Best Regards Mike |

RE: EZ Pure vs. IPC Eagle HydroTube
Here's a video on filter changing with the HydroTube.
The replacement filters for the HydroTube (Both Carbon & DI) is about $88. Filter cost for the EZ Pure is $240 for both Carbon & DI or $120 each. Jenny ![]() Moderator J.Racenstein Co 800-221-3748 Window Cleaning Supplies jenny@jracenstein.com |

RE: EZ Pure vs. IPC Eagle HydroTube
Thanks Jenny,
Sounds like a dead heat to me. The HydroTube is only 20lbs so that's lighter to carry but I just found out that that's before water. With water it's 38lbs. That's closer to the EZ Pure 45lbs. I was wondering, which unit can take more abuse? Best Regards Mike |

RE: EZ Pure vs. IPC Eagle HydroTube
Abuse as in everyday use? Of course these systems should be well taken care of, but the HydroTube may be able to handle more aggressive hands than the EZ-Pure. It has the wheels and the handle as a "cushion" if it were to fall or be dropped for any reason.
I have a few customers who already have the EZ-Pure and they are building a box around it and putting wheels below, which can help keep the abuse level down on the system and also creates portability. RE: EZ Pure vs. IPC Eagle HydroTube
The Carbon filter and DI filter are pretty small In the Hydro. Which would be changing out more often.I can see now why the EZ is heavier.

Paul, You could through an EZ Pure on the back seat of a car. I bet the SL-X 30ft pole would fit in a car as well. It closes down to about 5 1/2 ft. Would the HydroTube fit in a car? RE: EZ Pure vs. IPC Eagle HydroTube
It would fit in a car awkwardly. I think I'd bump my windows a couple times before it finally lies down. Then my shifter would be blocked. I drive a little Honda though, haha. I suppose it could fit better in a Scion XB or any other hatchback styled car.

Jenny, I use to carry a set of sectionals in my Volkswagen Jetta so I was just thinking out load. :-) I like my gear to be light and small. Best Regards Mike |
