IPC Eagle HydroTube vs EZ Pure
Lets talk facts.

RO Membranes: The following information is based on industry standards for feed water pressure and temperature. Both systems utilize the same 99% rejection rate membrane material.

1 - 4 x 40 membrane is rated at 3000 gallons per day.
1 - 4 x 21 membrane is rated at 1100 gallons per day. Times 2 yields a production rate of 2200 gallons per day.

The reason for this is that the membrane material inside the 4 x 21 actually measures at 17 inches length.

A single 4 x 40 membrane will always out perform twin 4 x 21 membranes by approximately 26%.

Carbon/sediment Prefilters:

HydroTube Carbon Block/Sediment cartridge:
Weight: 7 ounces
Use life: 2500 gallons of feed water, about 38 - 40 hours of operation.

EZ Pure: Carbon/sediment in a disposable pressure vessel
Weight: 12 lbs. (dry) estimated. (the wed site spec is wrong at 55 lbs.)
Use life:?????? unpublished

Deionizing Resin post filter:

HydroTube:
Resin Cartridge weight: 2 lbs.
Use life: 35 - 40 hours of operation

EZ Pure:
Disposable pressure vessel weight: 15 lbs? estimated.

Note: The life of the DI resin in both systems is directly related to the TDS level, temperature and pressure of the feed water supplied to the system. We can supply an answer in total gallons based on a set of specific conditions but the next time the units is setup, the conditions change. So supplying an estimated range of operational time is more realistic to the end user.

HydroTube: The volume of the resin cartridge has been designed to approximately match the life of the carbon block/sediment cartridge. That is why they are sold in sets. Each box contains 2 complete sets.

EZ Pure: Unknown (unpublished) volume, so unknown life expectancy too

System Weight:

HydroTube:
Dry: 27 lbs.
Wet: 36 lbs.

EZ Pure:
Dry: 45 lbs.
Wet: 55 lbs.
