Water-Fed Poles and Your Business
Ten Reasons to Introduce Water-Fed Poles to Your Operations
1. Safety

The majority of accidents in the window cleaning industry happen while working on ladders. WFP allows access up to 60 feet with the worker standing on the ground.

2. Economics
WFP work can and often does allow for work to be completed in half the time of other standard window cleaning methods.

3. Training Time
WFP work can be demonstrated and taught to a worker in as little as 2 hours. A non-experienced window cleaner can be productive the first day of work.

4. Production
Existing work can be completed in most instances in half the time. Therefore, a crew can complete more work in an 8 hour day.

5. Company Image
A fully equipped truck with a WFP system and poles looks professional and adds a more professional appearance to a work crew.

6. Company Assets
WFP systems add a tangible asset to your company portfolio.

7. Height of Work
Companies can address work up to 60 feet without the use of RDS, lifts, ladders or stages.

8. Accessibility
Eighty percent of the buildings in the United States are 2 to 5 stories. Often landscaping, parking areas and building design do not allow for proper access to the glass surfaces with other forms of equipment.

9. Depreciation
A well-timed purchase can sometimes save thousands of dollars off company taxes and be depreciated over several years.

10. Expanded Operations
WFP systems can create additional income from cleaning blinds, awnings, metal and many other surfaces.

Why Make Your Own Water? Rented DI Tanks vs. A System You Own
Convenience

DI Tanks: Many water companies consider window cleaners a hassle; we are a small account for them. If they deliver tanks they often demand a 2 day notice, or you drive to get new tanks (you lose money from lost revenue, gas and payroll). If tank runs out on job site you waste time replacing it. If you are not sure how much life the tank has left, you might change it out too soon, which increases your cost per gallon.
Water Systems: No problems, extra filters can be keep in stock and changed on the job. No guessing when filters need to be changed.

Image
DI Tanks: are bulky and ugly. They look like a “thrown together” system in most cases, roped in the back of your vehicle. Generally the tanks stay on the truck. Water Systems: Hose reels, smaller filters, gauges and portability will impress your customers. Can be wheeled to anywhere on the site.

Tax Savings
DI Tanks: All rental and re-gin costs are tax deductable but all you own reciepts at the end of the year. If your DI costs are $100.00 a week you will spend at least $5,200 a year for water and have nothing to show for it. Water Systems: Spend the $5,200 now and take the amount off your taxable income. Units and poles can be leased for about 200-300 a month. At the end of the year you OWN an asset and with the average tax savings on a $5,000.00 purchase most can relize a “real” price of $ 3380.00 for a unit. With the filter replacement that year of $1000.00 your total cost can be around $4380.00. That is a savings of over $800 for the year in real money. DI is NOT cheaper!!

Storage
DI Tanks: DI tanks cannot be layed down in a truck and clutter your shop until the water company comes to get them.
Water Systems: Require very little space to store in the shop and on the truck or van, plus they can be laid down for short trips.
