Siding and Exterior Maintenance

Gentle Cleaning vs Pressure Wash on Structures
Cleaning a house or commercial structure without using a pressure washer.

Pressure washers are great for walkways, driveways, decks and fences, but great care must be exercised when pressure washing structures made of wood and other sensitive substrates. High pressure structure cleaning can cause seals to be blown, caulking to be removed or siding could be lifted up off the building. Many building owners are concerned for the integrity of the surface and are looking for gentle exterior cleaning, often with Green Chemicals.

These issues and others have caused many professionals to gravitate toward gentle building cleaning.

Low Pressure Cleaning
Many of the chemicals described here can be applied via low pressure spraying or for smaller areas with a bucket and brush. Typically the chemical is diluted and poured into a hand held or backpack sprayer. Sprayers can be pumped manually or battery pump driven. Backpack sprayers will save you time on the job as you have more freedom with your hands to perform other tasks such as agitation with a brush and rinsing.
