The bristles on this brush are known for their superior cleaning capability offering "One Pass" cleaning of things like bird droppings on the surface being cleaned. The brush system includes a reversable splash guard that directed the spinning water away from the operator.

For best results the brush will use 3.0 gallons of water per minute with a top consumption of 3.4 GPM. The pressure is regulated to between 800 and 825 PSI by using the included pressure regulator. the suggested pressure washer is a unit that has an output of 2800psi to 3000psi at 3.0 GPM

This mobile, hand-controlled scrubbing brush is specifically designed to be operated by an operator from a distance of 5 to 30 feet, ensuring flexibility and ease of use in various cleaning scenarios. The rotating roller brush was designed and built to clean solar panels, atrium glass and other large horizontal to slightly angled surfaces, like metal roofs.

It is a mobile, hand-operated unit designed to be positioned and operated manually on the surface to be cleaned.

Rotary water powered brushes offer considerable time savings in the cleaning operation performed on solar panels and building surfaces when compared to traditional fixed brushes.

Brush requires:

Water at 800 to 8250PSI (45 to 56 BAR) at 3.0 GPM

This is the water pressure needed to rotate the brush head and should be 725 psi max for long service life.

This pole and brush are attached to a pressure washer that delivers the water to the brush for leaning and also delivers the power to spin the brush.

Pressure Washer Requirements:

3.0 to 3.2 Gallons per minute (11 to 12LPM) consumption
2800 to 3300 Pressure (190 to 225 BAR)
Max. Water Temperature: 104° F (40° C)

Note this hyperkinetic brush has an output orifice size similar to a #7 pressure washing tip, this drops the output pressure to the rated 800 to 825 PSI.

Recommended: a small commercial Pressure Washer rated at 3.0gallons per minute and 2800 to 3000psi

Instructions for Use:

Connect the brush to the telescopic lance.
Position the unit on the surface to be cleaned.
Turn on the Pressure Washer
Open the water valve on the telescopic lance.
Begin cleaning the surface.

Stopping the Brush - Turning off the cleaning

Close the telescopic lance’s valve.
Turn off the Pressure Washer
Turn off the water supply
Open the telescopic lance’s valve to discharge the residual pressure.

Connecting to the ProTool Solar Pole

The Pole will om assembled with the pressure hose routed through the center of the pole.

Attach the Pole Adaptor JIC Female Fitting that exits the top of the pole to the JIC Male fitting that is installed in the brush
At the bottom of the pole the pressure hose will have a 3/8in coupler.
Use lengths of Pressure Hose to reach the work area

Then attach the Valve, Gauge and Regulator using the M22 Twist Fittings

CLEANING COATED OR PAINTED SURFACES
Using water on glued parts may cause them to become detached. Do not use the unit on wood floors or parquet that are not well-sealed.
Be careful when cleaning doors, parquet, painted surfaces or surfaces coated with synthetic products, and aluminum panels.
Before using the brush, we advise performing a test on a portion of the surface that is not in view, to prevent damage or alterations during cleaning.

PRODUCTS TREATED – HANDLED OR GENERATED
Verify in the photovoltaic system’s operating manual the type of brushes that can be used for cleaning it, so as not to cause abrasions on the panels’ film.

It is important to avoid all operating situations that could cause repeated and unexpected stops of the brush’s rotation, such as those specified below:
- In the case of surfaces comprised of panels, the maximum distance between them must be 3 cm to prevent the unit from dropping into the empty space between one panel and the next.
- The surfaces must be as free as possible of protruding parts such as long screws, brackets, and terminals, which could obstruct brush rotation or harm the bristles.

- When not in operation, never allow the unit’s weight to rest on the brushes’ bristles so as not to bend them when resting.

Setting the Pressure

Use a Pressure Gauge to understand the pressure at the brush
Install the Gauge on the pressure washer connector to set and control the brush pressure

Test Run your your pressure washer and supply water to the brush from your running pressure washer the PSI at the brush head should be between 800 to 850 psi.

Note: The Pressure at the pump connection would be about to 1000 psi to 1100 PSI adjust to get adequate spinning power at the brush and no more

Note: When using longer hoses, hose losses will cause the pressure at the brush head itself to be less and the brush will spin too slow, you can add more pressure to (1000 to 1100psi at the PW) to get the brush to spin when this occurs.

Pressure Regulator

Use a Pressure Gauge to understand the water pressure being applied to the brush

Install the Pressure Gauge on the water connector on the brush

(Included with the pole and brush)

Testing and Setting Water Pressure

If your pressure washer is to big you will need to use a Pressure Regulator to control the Pressure - Target 600 to 700 PSI.

Here the gauge is installed

Attached to the Pressure washer and run the brush, If you are between 600 and 700psi you are good to go.

Attach a Pressure Regulator and Test, Set PSI

If the pressure is more than 725 PSI then install and adjust a pressure regulator to the target of 600 to 700psi. (Max 725)

Gauge can be removed for day to day use

Once you know your settings are correct you may remove the gauge for day to day cleaning

Keep the gauge handy should the pressure washer used be swapped out so you can test again

One you have your system setup at the correct pressure you can remove and store the gauge for future testing

Always test again after a pressure washer has been worked on or should a different pressure washer is put in place to power the brush

NOTE:

If your pressure Washer is running the brush at more that 850PSI then immediately stop the water flow.

You can try a smaller pressure washer or install and adjust a Pressure Regulator to set the pressure to the suggested 600 to 650 psi to run the brush. (Max 850psi)

How to check your Flow from your Pressure Washer

Place the brush over a 5 Gallon bucket and time how long it takes to Fill the 5 Gallon Bucket it should be filled in between
100 seconds (3 gpm) (1min 40 seconds)

This is measured at a max of 850psi at the brush, anything longer than 100 seconds is not enough flow.
