Carbon Filter and 5 Micron Sediment Filter Cartridges insert for 2.5in x 10in housing, Fits any standard 2.5 x 10 housing.The carbon block filter consists of high-quality activated carbon. It is effective in reducing free chlorine, bad taste, odor, THM, organics, hazardous chemicals and more.
Depending on source water quality or flow rate, it needs to be replaced every 2 months or about 1000 to 1,200 gallons of water. Each filter is individually sealed to keep freshness. Fits models using standard 10 in. x 2.5 in. whole-house water filters.
Often used before an RO Membrane to protect the membrane from Chlorine in the water. Chlorine in the water greatly reduces the RO Membrane service life.

Activated Carbon Filter Cartridge is extruded and shaped by activated carbon fines. The active filter media material is mineral based with a polypropylene cover that insures no carbon fines are released into the stream while offering strong absorptivity.
Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. Proposition 65 became law in November 1986, when California voters approved it by a 63-37 percent margin. The official name of Proposition 65 is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
The list of chemicals contains a wide range of naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals that include additives or ingredients in pesticides, common household products, food, drugs, dyes, or solvents. Listed chemicals may also be used in manufacturing and construction, or they may be byproducts of chemical processes, such as motor vehicle exhaust.
