Channels

Channels are available in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and materials. In order to get the finest results and cleanest windows, it's crucial to know which brand is ideal for you out of the many that we offer. No matter what you choose, every channel we sell comes with a piece of rubber, so you can start cleaning right away!

Standard and wide-body channels come in two different varieties. Standard channels are usually lighter, thinner, and shorter in length. Wide-body channels are longer, heavier, and wider. Only handles that can hold their breadth and weight are compatible with these channels.

Window cleaning squeegee channel in stainless steel and brass from brands like Unger and Ettore are always a great buy. We also recommend to go for the "Black Mamba" series from Sorbo.

Wide-body versus standard channels

Standard and wide-body channels come in two varieties. Standard channels are often lighter, thinner, and shorter in length. Channels with a wide body are larger, heavier, and wider. Only handles that can hold their breadth and weight can be used with these channels. Which type to use depends on your particular preferences. While some choose to use a lightweight configuration, you might want to think about using a wide-body channel to add stability when inserting your squeegee into an extension pole. The Ettore Aluminum channel and the Unger S Plus channel are a couple of common channels. The Ettore Super channel and the Sörbo Black Mamba channel are a couple excellent choices for wide-body channels!

Channels that have clips versus Clipless Channels

The majority of channels make use of internal channel accessories called clips. They are positioned in the channel itself, in between the rubber. These clips serve to secure the rubber so that it fits tightly within the channel. Additionally, it can prevent the rubber from slipping, drooping, or slipping out of the channel. The majority of clips are interchangeable and made of brass or plastic. When it comes to the channels that contain clips, you'll discover that the larger ones normally have two at either end while the smaller ones, mostly six inches and eight inches, usually only have one.

When you replace your rubber, the clips may be readily changed and inserted. Plugs, which may be attached to either side of a channel and have the same function as clips, are sometimes used in place of clips on some channels, such as Sorbo. Additionally, these plugs assist shield window frames from dings and scratches. The Sörbo Cobra and the Sörbo Eliminator are a couple of examples of channels with plugs.
